3 Top Tips For The Perfect Easy Peel Hard-Boiled Eggs

They say "time is everything in life," and eggs make no exception. Only 9 minutes to create the ultimate hard-boiled eggs that are easy to peel.



I love hard-boiled eggs; deviled, sliced on a sandwich, mixed in a salad, or simply plain; I love them! Unfortunately, boiling eggs is not easy; sometimes, their shells crack, and the eggs become saggy; sometimes, they overcook and release that green ring around the yolk resulting in a sulphuric back taste. To prevent any mistakes, I made super easy tips for you to follow to start your day with a proper load of Vitamins and proteins called hard-boiled eggs.




Before starting, I have a question: Have you ever wondered what eggs are made of?


I did a little research and studied myself, and I've discovered that the beautifully shaped eggs weigh an average of 61 g each. They are made up of three layers: the shell, egg white, and yolk.


  • The hard crackable shell is mainly made of calcium carbonate, which weighs about 8 grams. A coarse surface is an index of a fresh egg, a shiny and smooth one indicates a long-preserved egg.

  • The yellow-orange coloration of the yolk is due to the presence of pigments called xanthophylls, chemically similar to carotene.

  • The chromatic intensity of the yolk depends on what the laying hens eat. An intense orange color yolk is due to lipid-rich food supplemented with pigmented additives (e.g., paprika).





  • Eggs are rich in iron, but in a form complex for our body to absorb, so it's a good practice to consume them with food rich in vitamin C to facilitate absorption.





  • Yolks are rich in lecithin, a substance that every cell in the body needs. The bone marrow, brain, liver, and heart are rich in lecithin. Lecithin is responsible for vital tasks in cell membranes, especially in the nerve tissue.

It takes an hour to digest a soft-boiled egg, an hour and a half for a raw egg, about two and a half hours for a hard-boiled egg, and three hours for the fried ones.



OK, now let's go back to business and follow these easy steps to make yellow, vibrant egg yolks wrapped in a soft, smooth egg white every time you make them.


 

Your List of Ingredients





  • 4 Large Eggs

  • Cold Water as Needed

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil (optional)

  • Sea Salt to Taste (optional)



Let’s Get Started!



  1. Put the eggs in a saucepan.

  2. Cover the eggs with water.

  3. Once the water reaches the boiling point, set the timer to nine minutes.

  4. Prep a bowl with iced water.

  5. After nine minutes, take the eggs from the boiling water and place them into the iced water.

  6. Let them sit for two minutes.

  7. After two minutes, take the eggs from the cold water and dry them.

  8. Gently beat the round side of the egg over your working space till it cracks, then roll it with the palm of your hand till it breaks side to side.

  9. Peel them under running water.

  10. Dry and serve.

Use same size eggs.

Don't overlap the eggs.


Tip 3

Use cold water when you pour it over the eggs.


 

In conclusion, hard-boiled eggs are a rich versatile food; you can top them with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, a pinch of salt, and some freshly ground black pepper with a side of tomato salad and a sliced avocado.


Another way I love eating hard-boiled eggs is in a mixed salad; I believe eggs are game-changing. They make everything else taste better.
